These scenes from “Wings of Life” were part of nature filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg’s 2011 TED Talk titled “The Hidden Beauty of Pollination.” (That’s shared below.) From the video’s synopsis:

…a film about the threat to essential pollinators that produce over a third of the food we eat. The seductive love dance between flowers and pollinators sustains the fabric of life and is the mystical keystone event where the animal and plant worlds intersect that make the world go round.

Pollination: it’s vital to life on Earth, but largely unseen by the human eye. Filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg shows us the intricate world of pollen and pollinators with gorgeous high-speed images from his film “Wings of Life,” inspired by the vanishing of one of nature’s primary pollinators, the honeybee.
