When Sam Gordon started playing football as a 9-year-old, there were no girls-only teams for her to join. So she played with the boys, and excelled. Not long after, Gordon’s father uploaded a clip of his daughter breaking tackles and scoring touchdowns. The video was an overnight hit logging over five million views, and Sam Gordon became a football sensation. Now 14, she’s using her internet stardom to found an all-girls tackle football league. The Utah-based league has doubled in size over the past two years, but Gordon won’t stop there. Her goal is to make women’s tackle football a professional sport.
