Adult beginner violinist – 2 years of progress in under 5 minutes

Watch more with these video collections:

A 24 year old woman from Norway, Violin Noobie on YouTube, filmed herself learning how to play the violin — from her first week in April 2013 to after two years of practice: Adult beginner violinist.

Of her progress, she writes, “I didn’t think I could get this far in the short amount of time I’ve played. I didn’t really expect anything when i started. I just wanted to try and see how far i’ll get.” Her performances include Happy Birthday, Silent Night, Ode to Joy, and music from The Lord of the Rings and Super Mario.

File under: Practice. Follow this with Violin Concerto in A Minor (with LEDs and lasers) and The Sound of Wood: From sapling to violin.

This Webby award-winning video collection exists to help teachers, librarians, and families spark kid wonder and curiosity. TKSST features smarter, more meaningful content than what's usually served up by YouTube's algorithms, and amplifies the creators who make that content.
