Watch more with these video collections:

Mug cakes are fun and easy ways to make a small, quick dessert. They can be as simple or as decadent as you’d like, ranging from a basic vanilla cake to fudgy mug brownies with fancy toppings. This eggless Apple Mug Cake recipe from Em’s Kitchen is somewhere in between, but it bakes in the microwave in just around one minute, making it an easy afterschool or after-dinner treat.

Part one: The apples! You’ll need 1/3 cup of apples, 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Microwave this mix for 30 seconds.

For part two, the cake, use 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 more tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.

Microwave it for one minute in a 1000-watt microwave, or add 15 seconds in an 800-watt microwave. Measurements are included in the video.
