“Bold and boisterous” Adélie penguins are known for their social personalities. Case in point: This adorable video from 2016. As Casey Marwine readies his camera, Adélie penguins in the distance beeline over to examine his presence with curiosity and enthusiasm.

It’s a delightful six minutes of waddling, tobogganing (penguin belly-sliding), and up-close camera time on what is most likely Antarctica. Adélies are one of only two penguin species living on the icy desert continent.
