The Kid Should See This

Gokurōsama

It’s morning time and the Japanese supermall is preparing to open for business. Two women in a food shop are getting ready, too, until the older woman’s back goes out. How will her young assistant help her visit the chiropractor who’s located on an upper floor? What sounds like a relatively simple task becomes a series of lighthearted challenges for everyone.

Gokurōsama (ご 苦 労 様) is a 2016 graduation movie from students at MOPA/Supinfocom, Arles’ school of CG animation: Clémentine Frère, Aurore Gal, Yukiko Meignien, Anna Mertz, Robin Migliorelli, and Romain Salvini, with music by Matthieu Dulong.

Watch two more animated stories from MOPA students: Voltige (Aerobatics) and Tuurngait. Plus: Joy and Heron, Missing U, and Friends with You.

Bonus: It’s different from what you expected.
