How smart are dolphins?

Dolphins are well-known for being intelligent creatures… In fact, they’re one of the smartest species on the planet. These cetaceans can communicate, cooperate, empathize, understand language, pass along their knowledge to their young, and so much more. They’re even one of the few species that have passed The Mirror Test, indicating that they have physical self awareness.
