The Kid Should See This

Wear a Mask with Oscar the Grouch

Watch more with these video collections:

On Sesame Street, there may be no one who is as plain-spoken as Oscar the Grouch. And Oscar is featured in this public service announcement to tell YOU…yeah YOU… to wear a mask when you’re out in public. The PSA is part of Sesame Workshop’s Caring For Each Other initiative to help families navigate the COVID-19 health crisis.

In the variation below, which includes a cameo appearance by Elmo, Oscar explains:

“Sure it’ll keep you and others healthy, but more importantly, I won’t have to see your happy, smiling face, and I can make grouchy faces at you without you knowing. Another benefit.

SO if you don’t want to wear a mask, I’ve got just one thing to tell you: Scram! Go away!”

In other words, stay home if you want to skip wearing a mask, and wear one while you’re out and about.
