Smac McCreanor’s Hydraulic Press dance series

Watch more with these video collections:

Which squish is your favorite? Australian dancer and comedian Sarah McCreanor, aka Smac, started recreating “how will it squish” hydraulic press videos from the Hydraulic Press Channel and similar accounts by using her body, clothes, and props.

Each short is delightfully ridiculous yet accurate. Smac’s imitations not only explore shape and color but the different speeds of the unnecessary destruction, too, leading to quick movements and interpretive surprises.

This HydraulicPress dance series compilation video, edited together in April 2021, is four minutes and 30 seconds of creativity and silliness. It’s also excellent inspiration for any imaginative movement activities.
