Cold coffee, steamed milk, cream, chocolate sauce, espresso, and food coloring are the canvas and paints for latte artist Lee Kang Bin. The Seoul, Korea-based barista and coffee shop owner illustrates animated characters like Totoro, Mario, and The Little Prince on the surface of his customers’ coffee drinks.
He also recreates famous paintings like Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Edvard Munch’s The Scream, as seen in this colorful cream art-filled Insider video above: Barista Quit The Military To Become A Coffee Artist.
Each painting on steamed milk takes around 15 minutes to create and, according to Artnet in 2017, costs around $9. Follow @leekangbin91 on Instagram.
